Telinet brings you the Avaya Quick Edition, a simple plug and play telephone solution. Easy to set up, run and manage, it is the ideal solution for you.

This means you don’t have the expense of a traditional telephone system.

What is it?

The Quick Edition is manufactured by Avaya, one of the world’s leading phone manufacturers. It delivers intelligent communications for very small business and Enterprise small branch offices. With SIP based peer-to-peer technology all the intelligence resides in the VoIP telephone handsets. In minutes all users have access to the most commonly used set of telephony features, previously performed by a centralised server, including voicemail, conferencing and auto-attendant.

For more information on Avaya Quick Edition, or to book your free telephony audit contact Telinet, or leave your details and Telinet will contact you.

How does it work?

Simply connect the phones to a LAN and they automatically detect each other. Once the users input their names, the voicemail, directory and auto attendant features are populated and ready to use. It's that simple.

Further customisation options are available through a secure web based management system.

Key benefits:
  • Quickly equip your office with a fully featured business communication system
  • No need for a central service, phones plug directly into your LAN
  • Easy and quick to set-up, no configuration or onsite technician is required
  • Voicemail, auto-attendant, call log and call conference are all included
  • Scalable and simple to add more users – just plug in more phones!
  • Phones can be upgraded to the Avaya IP500 or Avaya Communications Manager - giving you investment protection for when your business grows

Benefits

Simple to install.
No traditional telephone system required.
Setting up a phone system has never been easier! Just plug the phones into your LAN, connect your incoming phone lines to the LAN Gateway box and within a few minutes you’ll have access to all the Quick Edition features.

Once you have configured the Quick Edition (through an easy simple, interface) it delivers all the communication capabilities small and growing business like yours require, such as:
  • Easy access to everyday telephony features (hold, conference, transfer)
  • Route incoming calls to the right person with the built-in auto attendant
  • Take and access voice messages anywhere
  • Log calls for tracking or easy callbacks
  • Automatically forward calls to wherever you are working

Reliable!

As the power of the Quick Edition is based in the phone software, there is no need for a central server; as a result there is no central point of failure. Not only does this reduce costs associated with hardware, installation and maintenance, it also greatly improves reliability. What’s more each phone offers resilience to the next phone.

What do you need to have?

100Mbps data network with CAT 5 (or better) cabling
Analogue lines or SIP lines
Local power source or a power over Ethernet switch

With the Quick Edition you only need as many lines as you require concurrent calls – so if you only need to be making/receiving 5 calls at anyone time, but you have 15 people in the office you only need 5 line rentals.

With the Avaya Quick Edition you can have up to 20 phones on each site.
